OUR DESIGN STUDIO IN FORT COLLINS, CO

STATE'S STUDIO

When we started designing our own studio, we peeled back layers that had been added since its original 1907 construction (dropped acoustic ceiling tile, gray broadloom carpet), and discovered original lath and plaster wood ceilings. We installed narrow solid wood flooring (authentic to the period) and painted it white. For the wall treatments, we left the exposed historic brick and added acoustic sound board (made from non-toxic organic material and natural wood fibers) for the tack board which covers several walls in the studio and highlights our projects and inspirations. We utilized cotton painter’s drop cloth for drapery and a “BE THE CHANGE” mural we painted as a reminder of our values and daily practice. We replaced the overall existing troffer lighting with white track lighting and layered in vintage and new decorative lighting.

MATERIAL LIBRARY

Our material library houses fabrics, tile, countertops, wood, and everything in between for our commercial and residential projects. We utilized recycled plaster bins for fabric storage and updated lighting, flooring, and storage to give our projects a neutral backdrop and canvas. The "before" is below:
